The MBTI is very popular and thoroughly enjoyed by participants. It provides them with an in depth insight into their specific personality type, highlighting their inherent ‘strengths’ and revealing their possible ‘weaknesses/work areas’. It provides excellent knowledge of specific roles in, and contributions to, the team.
However the standard MBTI provides very little transfer of learning to the actual workplace. It is too complex to actually implement and get effective results. Most participants forget their type in a very short time frame, and certainly don’t know how to ‘establish’ somebody else’s type. This makes the next ‘animal’ step very important.
Our solution: Divide the 16 MBTI types into four categories which are easier to work with and remember.
